Veterinary Tissue Bank launched its most innovative, patent pending, new product “DBM fibres” at the ECVS annual scientific congress in Edinburgh. Unlike standard DBM products which are in particulate form, DBM fibres entangle to form a scaffold which allows host cells to migrate readily along the fibres. DBM fibres also contain intrinsic growth factors such as BMP2 and BMP7. The most attractive feature of this product is that the fibres are very easy to handle as they form a putty like texture when rehydrated, without having to add additional carriers.
